World Masters Cup 2007

Rules

 

I. ELIGIBILITY
1) Any team representing a country must be integrated of players that are nationals, by blood or naturalization
    of that country, all exceptions must be approved by the WMC board.
Multinational teams:
CONCACAF: all players must be of Central America, North America or the Caribbean.
REST OF THE WORLD: all players must be from countries other than USA or participating countries
2) Participating players  must be of 35 years of age as of December 31st 2007 (born on or before
   December 31st 1972)
3) Participating players must be registered in the official roster of the team or country they represent.
4) Each team may include a maximum of four (4) players within the ages of thirty (30) and thirty four (34) as of 
     December 31st 2007 (born on or before December 31st 1977)
     Addendum: One of the 4 younger players can be twenty eight (28) years old as of December 31st 2007,.
5)  Required proof of eligibility will be - but not limited to - the following documents
          a) Official Passport
          b) Valid US State Driver's License or State ID.
c) Voter registration.
6) The roster includes a maximum of 25 players. if a teams does not complete the 25 players they
    will be allowed to make substitutions due to injury only and limited to the numbers of free slots.
    (for example if a team presents a roster of 20 players, they will be able to add 5 substitutions due
     to injury, international players coming from abroad, or major force only)

 

II. REGISTRATION
1)  Each team must comply with required fees and registration forms and complete official roster within
     scheduled dates (TBD)
2) Rosters will have a minimum of fifteen (15) players and a maximum of  twenty five (25) players.
3) Rosters must show complete players information (name, address, city, state,  date of birth, contact phone
     number and picture. Pictures/DOB only will be posted on the official web page of WMC.
4) All fees are due on the designated registration date(s)
5) Any checks received for payment that are returned by the Bank for whatever reason will result in an additional bank fee of the maximum allowed by Texas State Law, not to exceed $50.00, due to the WMC.
6) Any team that is not current on their fees will not be allowed to play. Their opponent will receive a forfeit win.
    There will be no refunds if a team withdraws from competition.
7) Only with good cause and approval of the WMC Board of Directors, can a team register after the    
    designated date(s) for the tournament.
8) Each player must have a signed liability form on file.

 

III. ADD/DELETE/TRANSFER
1) After registration and only with good cause and permission of the WMC Board of Directors can a team add
    players to the roster. This is valid for players traveling  from abroad (not residents in North Texas) and    
    considered "Master Players", and only if the roster has enough slots open. (A team presenting 25 players in 
    their roster will not be able to add any players even if these are "Master Players")
2) Final roster must be presented before May 30th, after which no substitutions will be allowed

 

IV. REFEREES
1) Referees will be designated by the Disciplinary Commitee, from a selected group of referees from NTSSA.
2) Payment of the referees will be made by the WMC Organization,  as part of the registration fees

 

V. TEAM REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Responsible for their team's conduct on and off the field of play.
2) Responsible for their team's roster and ID cards.
3) Responsible for keeping players and coaching members within five (5) yards from the field.
4) Responsible for the team abiding stadium regulations.
    Zero tolerance for alcoholic consumption within the field area.

 

VI EQUIPMENT
1) A team must wear jerseys of same color and style. Colors must be in all likeness to the colors of
    the national team they represent.  Other colors may be used in case of conflict.
    In the event of conflict, team considered "local" must change shirts.
2) Numbers must be permanently attached (sewn, heat transferred, etc) to the jersey. Taped or hand written
    numbers are not acceptable. Two or more players using the same number in the same game is automatic  
    forfeiture
3) The goalkeeper's jersey must be of contrasting color to both teams.

 

VII FORFEIT
The Disciplinary Commission will declare a forfeit for any of the following:
1) One or more players in a team are playing with another player's ID card illegally.
2) One or more players are found not be of the age required by the rules of the WMC.
3) Less that seven (7) players in the field in a given time of the game.
4) Failure to present ID cards or be at the field within fifteen (15) minutes of the scheduled start time.

 

VIII PROTESTS AND APPEALS
All protests must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the end of a game, to the Board of Directors, along with a fee of fifty (50) US Dollars.
 Decisions are final, and fee is not refundable.

 

IX  GAME RULES
FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) Rules apply, with the following distinctions:

1) Unlimited substitutions per team (only limitation is the maximum of players allowed in the roster which is 25)
2) The games will consist of two (2) half times of forty (40) minutes each,  with an interval of  ten (10) minutes.
3) An ejection or red card will be an automatic game suspension, with the following exceptions:
   a) Red card applied for a foul of last resort (last defender). Fouls that are judged as intentionally harmful  are
       excluded and player must comply with suspension.
   b) Red card received for a second Yellow card on a harmless foul.
4) Any yellow card will result in a 10 minutes suspension for the player receiving the sanction, no substitutions 
     allowed.

 

The criteria for suspension is evaluated by the Disciplinary Commission.
In case of conflict or misinterpretation the criteria of the WMC board will prevail
